The second University of Worcester Head of the Severn will be running on Sunday 5 February 2012
The race will be held under both BUCS and British Rowing rules. Clubs and schools may only race under British Rowing rules, universities may choose to race as either BR or BUCS.
There will be three divisons:
Entry will be £8/seat for Divisions 1 & 3 and £6/seat for Divison 2.
The long course provides an excellent opportunity for Championship crews to line up against each other for a race of a similar duration to the tideway Head of the River Race.
The short course is designed to be ideal preparation for BUCS beginner head.
Insurance
BR clubs will be covered under their standard BR insurance.
BUCS clubs will be covered under your AU/SU insurance. It is essential that all students are registered members of their clubs. Student Union/Guild card checks will be carried out on the day for all students racing in BUCS events.
Entries
All events (BR and BUCS) can be entered through this website. BROE can be used for BR entries from early January.
Athletes are permitted to double up between divisions one and three but may not double up to or from division two.
If an event has fewer than three entrants, we will attempt to create an appropriate category for your crew. For example, 2 BUCS Intermediate 8s and a BR IM3 8 might be merged into one event.
Entries are now open and will close at midnight on 29 January.
